Coronavirus: Update and Action Plan (Feb 20)
Tue 3rd Mar 2020|General
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah
As you may be aware, the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus in China has spread to many parts of the world.
We pray to Allah (swt) to protect us from this disease and to grant a full to recovery to those who have been affected by it.
We would like to inform you that Dome Tours are closely following developments surrounding the epidemic and will keep you updated of any significant news related to Hajj and/or Umrah
Please note the following:
- As a British travel operator, we will follow advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) with regards to travel to Saudi Arabia following the outbreak. The latest travel advice can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/saudi-arabia/health
- We are also liaising with the Hajj Ministry and Health Ministry of Saudi Arabia to ensure we share appropriate travel advice with respect to travel to the Kingdom for Umrah, Hajj or any other reason. Please be aware that the Saudi Authorities have many years’ experience dealing with such epidemics. They have previously overcome challenges following the outbreak of MERS and SARS so any advice they offer will be valuable and thorough.
- As part of our due diligence, Dome Tours are proactively consulting companies and specialists to establish a robust protocol to protect our pilgrims from exposure to the virus. Rest assured that we will develop practical guidelines and measures to make sure we remain safe and in good health before, during and after our trip, InshAllah.
If you have travelled to the following countries in the last few months (or plan to travel there), please contact the office immediately as there may be additional health and safety measures required to enter Saudi Arabia:
- Hong Kong
- Any other country where the Coronavirus has spread
Please do not ignore this request as it may jeopardise the issuance of your Hajj visa
